Lydia Whyatt
Managing Director
Lydia has 16 years of investment experience with a focus on venture capital and cleantech for the past 10 years. Lydia began her career in Russia where she structured project finance for the City of Moscow’s waste-processing plant among other project finance development opportunities. After finishing her Diploma in Finance at LSE, she joined McKinsey & Co. as a management consultant where she managed several strategy development projects for major clients including a large global energy trading company. In 1999 Lydia moved into venture capital investment with Kennet Venture Partners, and was part of the team that deployed over $280m with a number of successful exits.
Since 2005 she has been Managing Director at Foursome Investments Ltd where she managed a $90m dedicated Cleantech fund with a key focus on water and waste investments. Over the past four years Lydia has managed ten cleantech investments, seven of which she initiated and implemented, and had a number of successful exits. Lydia is a recognized and respected expert in water and waste technologies. She has also developed an extensive network of active relationships at the senior level with a number of major industrial players and Cleantech organizations.
Lydia holds a PhD in Physics from Moscow State University, an MBA from Russian-American Independent University and a diploma in Banking and Finance from London School of Economics”. |
