Julia Xia
Investment Director
Julia comes from Merrill Lynch’s investment banking department in New York where she spent about 2 years focusing on cross-border M&A and capital raising. Julia has worked on a number of prominent transactions including the US$2.2bn sales of Equity Inns Inc., and a US$103mm strategic investment by International Game Technology in China LotSynergy Holdings. Julia also spent 2 years with the Shanghai International Group Asset Management Co. as Project Manager in the Financial Advisory Division where she worked on several infrastructure and environmental transactions worth in excess of US$3.5bn. From 2001-2002, Julia worked as an Associate in the Investment Banking Division at the Shanghai International Trust and Investment Corporation, the largest trust & Investment corporation in China. Julia is a graduate of the University of Chicago with a M.A. (Hon) in Business Administration and a graduate of Fudan University in Shanghai, China with a M.A. in Economics and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. |
